Less Than Kind Heads into Second Season

WINNIPEG: Breakthrough Films & Television and Buffalo Gal Pictures have begun principal photography in Winnipeg on a second season of Less Than Kind, slated for a fall premiere on Citytv.

Maury Chaykin (Adoration, Blindness), Jesse Camacho (The Trotsky, 12 and Holding), Wendel Meldrum (Queen of the Lot, Seinfeld), Benjamin Arthur (That One Night) and Nancy Sorel (Cashing In) all return for the season season, which welcomes Tyler Johnston (Grand Star, Smallville) to the cast. The series follows teenaged Sheldon Blecher as he attempts to manage growing up, while also trying to keep the family business running. Filming for the new season is set to wrap on May 29.

Less Than Kind is written and co-executive produced by Marvin Kaye and Chris Sheasgreen, who created the series based on Kaye’s one-act play They Have Mayonnaise in Montreal.
