LatAm Sales for ITV Studios Global Entertainment

LONDON/MIAMI: ITV Studios Global Entertainment has secured a slew of deals with broadcasters in Latin America, with more than 170 hours of programming across multiple genres set to air throughout the region.

Brazil’s Globosat opted for a package that included music specials, such as The Day John Lennon Died; prime-time drama, including Lynda La Plante’s Above Suspicion and Murdoch Mysteries; as well as a Cirque du Soleil special. Pramer picked up more than 50 hours to air on its Cosmopolitan TV, Film & Arts and Europa Europa channels. This includes seasons 11 and 12 of Agatha Christie’s Poirot and the drama Bouquet of Barbed Wire, as well as a range of TV movies and the new sitcom Miranda.

Discovery Networks Latin America/US Hispanic acquired more than 70 hours of factual and natural history programming for networks such as Discovery HD Theater, TLC HD, Discovery Science, Discovery Turbo and Discovery Civilization. Titles include the landmark nature series Planet Science, wildlife special The Queen of Trees, season three of the Police Women franchise and the HD series The Seven Wonders of China.
