KBS Expands Asian Reach

HONG KONG/SEOUL, October 11: Korea’s KBS World channel has
reached a carriage deal with pay-TV operator Hong Kong Cable TV, adding to its
Asian footprint that currently includes Japan, Thailand, the Philippines and
Singapore.

KBS World, the international channel operated by leading
Korean terrestrial KBS, launches in Hong Kong October 23 and will be available
as part of the basic and international packages.

The channel aims to further its Asian reach and is looking
to target the Middle East next year.
