Kate Gosselin to Co-Host The View

BURBANK: Kate Gosselin of Jon & Kate Plus 8 is to co-host The View on ABC on September 14 and 15, sitting in for Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who is on maternity leave until mid-October.

The View makes its season premiere on September 8 at 11 a.m. Further celebrity co-hosts to fill in for Hasselbeck include Meghan McCain, the daughter of former GOP presidential candidate John McCain, from September 9 to 10. LaToya Jackson will take the co-host chair on September 16 and 18, followed by former Fox News Channel anchor Ed Hill on September 23 and 24. Additional guest co-hosts will be announced in the coming weeks.

The co-hosts will join Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and Sherri Shepherd in a forum to discuss everyday issues, share their opinions and engage in conversation.
