LOS ANGELES: Josh Barry has been tapped to serve as partner for Prospect Park in the company’s TV group.

In his new role, Barry will be responsible for developing and producing drama and comedy series, along with reality and nonfiction TV projects. Barry joins Prospect Park from ABC Entertainment Group, where he most recently served as senior VP of drama development and current programming at ABC Studios. He developed Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning series such as Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy, and worked on hits including Alias and Lost.

Jeff Kwatinetz, the founder and CEO of Prospect Park, said of the appointment: “Josh brings an exceptional pedigree to Prospect Park, and is the perfect fit for the company as we really focus on expanding our TV and content slate. Not only has Josh been responsible for developing some of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed shows of the last decade, he has a track record complete with key network experience and a passion for cultivating writers of different genres and styles. This has all led to breakthrough series that reflect not just where pop culture is at the moment, but also where it’s heading. With our like-minded approach to the creative process, we look forward to great success together.”

Barry added: “I am excited to join Prospect Park and a team that is creatively driven across all of its divisions. Together we will be aggressively putting together a wide slate of projects, and soon hope to have more shows joining the company’s existing series in production. Jeff and I share similar outlooks on where the market is heading, and I am thrilled to be joining forces with Prospect Park’s innovative group.”
