Jordan Set for Star Trek-Inspired Theme Park Attraction

AMMAN: Rubicon Group Holding has announced plans to design and produce a 184-acre entertainment resort in Jordan that will feature, via a deal with CBS Consumer Products, an attraction inspired by Star Trek.

With a budget estimated at $1 billion, The Red Sea Astrarium (TRSA) in Aqaba, Jordan, is scheduled to open in 2014. The Star Trek attraction is being creatively developed by Paramount Recreation. According to Rubicon, there will be "multi-sensory 23rd-century experiences, culminating with a state-of-the art space-flight adventure that takes real-time immersive entertainment experiences to bold new heights."The other attractions will draw from local and regional culture and history
