LONDON: The preschool channel JimJam has snapped up Hello Kitty and Denver: The Last Dinosaur.

JimJam picked up three Hello Kitty specials from Sanrio, which will begin broadcasting in the spring on the channel’s Italian feed. As part of the deal, A Journey Through Fairlyland and Journey to the West are exclusive territory premieres; the special English with Kitty was also acquired.

Denver: The Last Dinosaur also launches on the Italian feed this spring. The show, which centers on the adventures of a fun-loving dinosaur and his group of ingenious young friends, was acquired from World Event Productions.

Commenting on the acquisitions, Kathy Fairbairn, the director of programming, for JimJam said: “We are delighted to have secured these exciting shows for JimJam. Hello Kitty is immensely popular in Italy so it is fantastic that we are able to broadcast three exclusive specials. Denver: The Last Dinosaur has already proved a hit in 28 territories and is yet another strong offering for JimJam.”
