Janson Secures Deals for Giant Screen Films

HARRINGTON PARK, February
28: Janson Media has licensed its Giant Screen Films Collection to several broadcasters in the Americas, Europe
and Asia.

TV Azteca in Mexico, Oasis
TV and Outdoor Life Network in Canada and TV Sedem in Bulgaria have all picked
up the collection, in addition to networks in Greece and South Korea.

Giant Screen Films
Collection
features 14 films
originally produced for IMAX theaters around the world. While the rights to
many of the large format films were maintained exclusively by their producers
for many years, Janson is now offering them to the worldwide television market
for the first time.

“These films offer
terrific production values, with budgets north of six million dollars each, and
have all been recently converted to HDTV, at significant expense,” said Stephen
Janson, the president of Janson Media. “In many ways, these Giant Screen Films
also represent the last refuge of the family movie. Aside from the occasional
Disney or Pixar animated film, the very concept of parents watching movies
together with their children is quickly fading away from our culture.”
