Janson Releases Kenny Rogers Special

HARRINGTON PARK, July 17: New Jersey-based distributor
Janson Media has begun offering the international TV and DVD rights to Kenny
Rogers: The Journey
.

The film provides a look at the successful country artist,
who has recorded 61 albums and has sold more than 105 million units worldwide
over the last 40 years. His accolades include three Grammy Awards, eleven
People's Choice Awards, eighteen American Music Awards, eight Academy of
Country Music Awards, and five Country Music Association Awards. "I'm
really excited about this DVD because it captures the essence of my entire
career," Rogers said in a press release. "My own personal journey has
been a long one, and it was a real treat to go through the older footage and
edit it around one of my current concerts. I think my fans will really enjoy
it."

The Journey includes
a new concert filmed in HD in Indiana in April 2006, along with live
performances of 24 songs with footage taken from the era when they first became
hits. The special was produced by Jerry Samuels for Groovpix. Goldhil
Entertainment will release the North American DVD on September 29. The one-hour
television special and the DVD are now available exclusively from Janson Media
for international television, VOD, IPTV, and DVD licensing.
