Janson Media’s Public Health Doc Set to Air on PBS

HARRINGTON PARK, July 10: Janson Media’s award-winning
documentary Libby, Montana, about the
worst case of community-wide exposure to a toxic substance in U.S. history,
will premiere on August 28 as part of the
PBS series P.O.V. (Point-of-View).

Produced by High Plains Films, a non-profit documentary
media production and distribution company based in Missoula, Montana, the
83-minute documentary is available for worldwide television markets exclusively
through Janson Media. Libby, Montana explores
how hundreds of people in the small blue-collar community of Libby got sick or
died from asbestos exposure. The documentary chronicles one of the worst public
health crises in U.S. history, and the events that led to a ten-count criminal
indictment against top executives and managers of W. R. Grace and Company.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the
PBS series P.O.V. (Point of View)
showcases independent documentary storytelling.
