ITV Studios Commissioned for Spanish Treatment of May the Best House Win

MADRID: Antena 3 has commissioned ITV Studios Spain to produce a local version of entertainment reality show May the Best House Win, entitled Mi Casa es la Mejor.

The hour-long episodes will air on Antena 3 in a 4 p.m. time slot later this year. The series watches as proud homeowners show off their varied and quirky tastes. May the Best House Win was created and produced in the U.K. by ITV Studios’ production unit Shiver in Leeds. It was commissioned by ITV1 Daytime earlier this year. ITV1 has commissioned a further 30 episodes for early 2011.

Fran Garcia, the managing director of ITV Studios Spain, commented, “We are delighted to announce today’s commission by Antena 3. Since we opened our production hub in Madrid we have been working with local broadcasters to create and adapt ITV Studios’ content that will resonate with Spanish audiences. This format explores ideas which are relatable across many cultures and is an ideal fit for Antena 3’s audience.”
