ITV Studios Appoints Hans Engholm CEO of Silverback

LONDON: ITV Studios has named Hans Engholm as CEO of Silverback, its Scandinavian production company based in Stockholm.

Engholm was most recently the creative director at Eyeworks, which is also in Stockholm, where he oversaw productions such as the Swedish version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, as well as developed original formats Know it All and A Fight Against Death, among others.

Kevin Lygo, the managing director at ITV Studio to whom Engholm will report, said: “A significant part of the on-going ITV Transformation Plan is to produce more of our own shows internationally. We are very pleased to welcome Hans to this important role at Silverback. He is highly regarded within Scandinavia for his creative and innovative approach and we’re confident he’ll make the most of U.K. success to gain commissions for ITVS formats in the territory. Equally we look forward to him pitching original formats from Scandinavia back to us in the UK and our studio production network in other parts of the world.”
