PARIS/SYDNEY: STUDIOCANAL has named Louisa Bayles to the post of head of TV and digital sales for Australia and New Zealand.

After successfully expanding in Europe, particularly the U.K. and Germany, STUDIOCANAL is driving its growth in Australia and New Zealand, where the company set up operations nearly four years ago by purchasing Hoyts Distribution. Bayles will report to Elizabeth Trotman, the CEO of STUDIOCANAL for Australia and New Zealand. Bayles previously served as VP of pacific rim sales at ITV Studios and head of digital and DVD sales at BBC Worldwide.

Trotman commented: “The appointment of Louisa Bayles as our head of TV and digital sales is reflective of the growth in our television arm with recent successful TV series such as Midnight Sun. Louisa’s depth of experience across not just traditional media but all digital platforms will be instrumental in expanding our distribution reach for our broad range of film and television content. I’m thrilled she is joining our team.”

Katrina Neylon, the executive VP of international sales and marketing at STUDIOCANAL, added, “I would like to welcome Louisa to the STUDIOCANAL television team. She will take our sales efforts to the next level in Australia and New Zealand. With its unique dynamic and appetite for high-quality European content, the region is strategically important for STUDIOCANAL’s growth.”
