ITV, 3 in Mobile Streaming Deal

LONDON, August 7: The 3.5 million customers who subscribe to
the 3 mobile service in the U.K. will be able to watch ITV1 and the interactive
channel ITV Play live on their handsets, beginning this fall.

This will be the first live streamed terrestrial mobile
channel in the U.K. ITV has granted an exclusive 3G mobile license to 3 for six
months. ITV chief executive Charles Allen noted, “This is a bold new service
from ITV and 3 which makes the ambition of fully streamed mobile TV a reality.
Today is a real milestone in the development of TV on the go and with ITV’s new
broadband channel coming soon, viewers will be able to access ITV's great
content wherever, whenever, and however they choose."

the time.
