Incendo Sets Up International Sales Arm

MONTREAL: Canadian production outfit Incendo, which is currently filming the new TV movie Second Chances, has tapped Gavin Reardon to lead its international sales efforts out of Los Angeles.

The company, headed up by Jean Bureau and Stephen Greenberg, has also hired Libby Beers in Los Angeles to serve as development executive. Incendo aims to continue producing drama for the U.S., Canadian and international markets, and is currently working on its third TV movie this year. Directed by Jean-Claude Lord, Second Chances is a suspense thriller starring Melissa George (Grey’s Anatomy, In Treatment) and Ryan Scott Greene (Saints & Sinners, Queer as Folk). Two other movies are planned between now and the end of the year.

“We are extremely proud of what we’re doing,” said Bureau. “Since 2002 we have filmed an average of five movies per year, which means lucrative benefits for the region. According to E & B Data, producing five television movies and 26 hours of television series per year generates significant economic advantages for the province. It represents a total direct investment of over C$400 million, with indirect economic revenues of around C$1 billion for the city of Montreal and the province of Québec over a five-year period.”

Greenberg adds, “With an average of five television movies per year, and the TV series on top of that, Incendo is stimulating job-creation in the region. In addition, every Incendo production is dubbed here in Québec.”
