ImaginAsian Acquires Korean Serial

NEW YORK, April 9: ImaginAsian TV has bolstered its Korean
drama lineup with the acquisition of Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation’s popular
serial Couple in Trouble.

The series is slated to launch April 15 at 8 p.m. It is
based on the 1987 movie Overboard with
Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell and stars Han Ye Seul as the feisty wife of a
wealthy businessman who loses her memory after falling off her husband’s yacht.
Jang Chul Soo (played by Oh Ji Ho) is a local handyman with three nephews who
devises a plan to convince her she’s his girlfriend.

Couple in Trouble
has won legions of fans across Asia for its witty and charming story line, and
popular actors,” said David Chu, the senior VP of programming and production at
ImaginAsian TV. “We’re excited about bringing another great Korean series to
American audiences, and having them take part in the Korean drama series craze
that has taken hold over many parts of Asia over the past couple of years.”

The 16-episode drama serial will be aired in prime time in
Korean with English subtitles and will be accompanied by The Lounge, ImaginAsian TV’s original program hosted by Emily
Chang. The Lounge host wraps,
produced in English, will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the series
and provide commentary on the show and the actors.
