I.O.U.S.A. Notches Up Sales

LONDON/TORONTO: Cinemavault and its sub-agent MercuryMedia have struck a range of international deals for the documentary I.O.U.S.A., which examines America’s rapidly growing national debt. 

Those picking up the doc include BBC TV in the U.K., CBC in Canada, SVT in Sweden, Showtime and Accent in Australia, Planete in France and DBS in Israel. Turkey’s Kanal Turk, Front Row in the Middle East, Globosat in Brazil, TV Catalunya and SIC in Portugal and Virgin Airlines Australia also picked up I.O.U.S.A. Meanwhile, B-Motion in Benelux and IDG in Poland opted for the DVD rights. 

The film debuted at the Sundance Film Festival last year, and was recently nominated for a Critics Choice Award. It was released theatrically in the U.S., Canada and the U.K., grossing close to $1 million. I.O.U.S.A. is now available in an updated feature-length version and a one-hour international version.
