Hulu Ramps Up British Content

LONDON: Hulu is bringing a range of popular U.K. TV series, including Spy, to American viewers, offering almost 40 hours of new entertainment and comedy programming via its free ad-supported platform, as well as its subscription service Hulu Plus.

Through a deal with Hat Trick International, Hulu will be the exclusive U.S. distributor of the new comedy Spy, starring Darren Boyd and Robert Lindsay, which launched on Sky1 in the U.K. Hulu will also stream the U.K. comedy Outnumbered; the factual entertainment series James May’s Man Lab and James May’s Toy Storie; the chat show The Kumars at No.42; and the award-winning comedy-drama The Worst Week of My Life.

Sarah Tong, the director of sales at Hat Trick International, said, “We’re delighted that these fantastic shows will now be available to a huge U.S. audience via Hulu. We’re embracing digital platforms which offer consumers a choice of premium content how and when they wish to watch.”
