HBO Inks Mobile Deal in Korea

NEW YORK/SEOUL, January 3: Home Box Office has teamed with
SK Telecom for a mobile VOD service in Korea featuring full episodes of the
premium network’s key original series.

The service, which launched December 22, features full
episodes of Sex and the City, Six
Feet Under and Curb Your
Enthusiasm. SK Telecom is offering a free
one-month trial period to January 21, granting access to four episodes of both Sex
and the City and Six Feet Under.

“With one of the most advanced mobile networks on earth, SK
Telecom is a leader in providing on-demand mobile entertainment to its
subscribers,” said Stanley Fertig, the SVP of HBO International. “This deal is
also an example of the many opportunities HBO is finding around the world as
digital technology advances in the international marketplace.”
