HBO Asia Continues Expansion

SINGAPORE: New carriage deals have been secured by HBO Asia for channels such as HBO HD and RED, a 24-hour movie service.

In Malaysia, Telekom Malaysia signed a deal for RED, WarnerTV and BabyFirst. The channels are available to subscribers as part of Unifi’s HyppTV package from RM3. In Taiwan, WarnerTV launched as part of DishHD’s Premier Package. HBO HD made its debut for the first time in Indonesia on First Media. The service is also available in Hong Kong, Singapore, the Philippines, Taiwan, Malaysia and Thailand.

HBO Asia recently secured an agreement with Cable Boss of the Philippines that sees the distribution of RED across various parts of the territory. This includes Metro Manila through Cable Link, Aklan through Kalibo Cable, Oriental Mindoro through Calapan Cable, Cavite through Naic Cable and Dasca Cable, and in Tarlac, through Concepcion Pay TV.
