LOS ANGELES: Hasbro Studios is restructuring its boys/action and girls/preschool creative units, splitting the teams into separate series development and current programming groups to meet increased production output.

As part of the restructuring, Mike Vogel has been upped from executive director of boys and action programming to VP of development. While at Hasbro, Vogel has seen shows including Transformers Prime and G.I. Joe Renegades from inception to success on The Hub. He will be responsible for re-imagining the studio’s boys, action, girls and preschool creative endeavors.

Linda Steiner, the former senior VP of girls and preschool programming, has taken on a new role as senior VP of current programming. Prior to joining Hasbro in 2009, Steiner oversaw development and production of animated programming at Warner Bros., including The Batman, for which she won an Emmy Award. Steiner will manage a number of studio-produced series once on the air.

Meanwhile, Kathy Page, the VP of production, will take on an expanded role as she leads the restructured teams with production and post-production services, as well as continues to oversee outside production service relationships.

Stephen Davis, the president of Hasbro Studios, said of the promotions: “With the rapid growth of Hasbro Studios and the increasing number of shows we have on The Hub, as well as airing in international markets, I am making these changes to both streamline the creative process and make our organization operate more efficiently. Michael, Linda and Kathy have all done outstanding jobs in their respective roles and now, with this restructuring, we will be able to create a more cohesive organization.”
