TORONTO: Guru Studio’s debut preschool series, Justin Time, has been scooped up by Discovery Kids in Latin America, YLE in Finland and Hop! Channel in Israel.

The 26×11-minute animated series, which was created for Family Channel and Disney Junior in Canada, features a young boy named Justin who must face a simple challenge each episode, such as building a fort quickly or chasing a balloon just out of reach. Justin is joined by his friends Squidgy, an animated piece of clay, and Olive, who appears in imaginary sequences with all the knowledge needed to help the trio conquer their challenge.

Mary Bredin, VP at Guru Studio, commented: "We have had an extremely positive reaction to Justin Time since we launched it in October, so we are really pleased at this stage to have secured such prestigious broadcast partners and we look forward to announcing more in the near future."

Vicky Schroderus, YLE’s acquisition executive, added: "Justin Time is a vibrant and exciting new show, which we are delighted to have join our programming slate for 2012. Guru have done a great job: the production quality and the dynamic visual style of the series will really appeal to our Finnish audiences."
