GSN to Launch Bingo America Game Show

SANTA MONICA, January 31:
GSN has announced plans to premiere a new 40-episode game show, titled Bingo
America
, beginning March 31 at 7
p.m.

Developed and executive
produced by Andrew Glassman, the show will be fast-paced, blending the classic
elements of trivia-based game shows with traditional bingo game-play. Hosted by
Dallas’s Patrick Duffy, the
series offers a “free-to-play-along-and-win” feature, giving cash awards and
prizes to both on-air contestants and at-home viewers. Free, downloadable bingo
cards will be available on the network’s website, and viewers can play along
while the on-air contestants compete for their own Bingo. Downloaded cards also
come with “bonus numbers.” Viewers with numbers that match those selected
on-air become an instant winner. Fans can also receive bonus numbers by texting
“BINGO” on their mobile phones.

Glassman’s production
company Glassman Media produces the series. Production on the series began
yesterday in Los Angeles.

"Andrew and his team
have created something unique that truly works for all kinds of GSN
viewers—traditional game show fans and engaged viewers who want to sit
forward and play along for real prizes," said Jamie Roberts, the senior VP
of programming at GSN. "And we couldn't have found a better fit than
Patrick; we know our audience is really going to embrace him."

Glassman commented:
"I'm looking forward to bringing this new series to GSN's audience.
They're one of the industry's most enthusiastic fan-bases and with free,
downloadable bingo cards, they'll be able to play along and try to win every
time they tune in."
