Granada Sells BBC Drama to 100+ Markets

LONDON, August 29: Granada International has sold the BBC
One drama series The Impressionists to
more than 100 territories around the world, including the U.S., with PBS, and
Latin America, with HBO.

Other broadcasters on board include CHUM TV in Canada, DBS
Israel, EBS South Korea, EST Estonia, RUV Iceland, NRK Norway, Romanian
Television, Hallmark Africa and VRT Belgium. Intervision in Japan has acquired
the rights for both TV and video, while DVD rights have also been acquired by
both Acorn Media in the U.K. and Koch Entertainment in the U.S. and Canada.

The 3×75-minute production explores the French Impressionist's
struggle for recognition in the face of massive hostility from the art world of
the late 19th century.
