Granada International Secures Sales in Korea

HONG KONG/LONDON, March 1: Granada
International’s regional office in Hong Kong has secured sales of its
programming to a number of broadcasters in Korea, including a substantial
package of dramas and feature films for the free-TV broadcaster EBS.

EBS has acquired a package of
drama programming that includes British dramas such as Cracker and Dracula, the
Hollywood TV movies Life Is Not A Fairytale and Wildfires, and
titles from Granada International’s extensive feature film library including Sophie’s
Choice
and Bugsy Malone. The children’s wildlife show Get Bushwise is also included in the EBS deal.

In its first deal with Granada International, CJ Media has
acquired the reality series Poor Little Rich Girls and the lifestyle shows Trinny and
Susannah Undress…
and Dinner
Takes All
.

The science show Brainiac has been acquired by the cable network e-channel and two seasons of
the award-winning Megastructures
have been scooped up by the MBC Local Network.

Joongang Broadcasting has bought eight feature films from
the Granada International library including the Academy Award-winner My Left
Foot
and the drama Jesus of
Nazareth

Cable broadcaster On Media has
acquired the second season of Hell’s Kitchen USA starring Gordon Ramsay and seasons two and three of Nanny
911
