Granada International Inks Hell’s Kitchen Option in Israel

LONDON,
July 12: Granada International has
optioned the culinary reality format Hell’s Kitchen to Keshet for free-TV broadcast on Channel 2 in
Israel.

The finished version of Hell’s
Kitchen USA
has sold to more than
100 territories worldwide, including pan Middle East, Brazil, the U.K.,
Finland, Benelux and across Asia.

The Israeli version will
follow a similar structure to the U.S. production of Hell’s Kitchen—which features Michelin-starred chef Gordon
Ramsay—with contestants learning how to cook to five-star restaurant
standards under the guidance of a famous chef, along with guests sampling the
end result. The series in Israel will run for two weeks, featuring 10 chosen
contestants who will cook on live TV every night. Viewers are able to vote by
phone to save their favorite chef from elimination and ultimately choose the
winner. A search is currently underway in Israel for restaurant venues and a
suitably passionate and opinionated famous chef.
