Gotham Group to Rep Cuppa Coffee Studios

LOS ANGELES: The Gotham Group has inked a deal to exclusively represent Cuppa Coffee Studios, the Canadian outfit behind the stop-motion hits Celebrity Death Match for MTV and Starveillance for E! Network.

The representation will cover feature work, with an emphasis on stop-motion animation projects. Cuppa Coffee is the largest stop-motion facility in the world, and has been behind the likes of JoJo’s Circus for Playhouse Disney and the critically acclaimed A Miser Brother’s Christmas Special for ABC Family. Cuppa Coffee Studios is currently producing 20 episodes of Glenn Martin, D.D.S. with Michael Eisner’s Tornante Company for Nick at Nite.

"I am delighted to have joined forces with The Gotham Group," said Adam Shaheen, the president of Cuppa Coffee. "They are a creative powerhouse and represent the very best, and this allows the studio to take our successes within television and move those talents into features."

"Cuppa Coffee Studios has an excellent pedigree and reputation as a stop-motion studio and is uniquely placed to optimize it’s location within Canada to further appeal to the U.S. studios," commented Julie Kane-Ritsch, the head of animation for The Gotham Group. "We are thrilled to have this opportunity to work with such an esteemed creative team."
