German Deal on ShineReveille Format

CANNES: The ProsiebenSat.1 group has optioned ShineReveille’s paper format Fame and Fortune for the German Free TV’s station portfolio.

The local version will be co-produced by the newly-formed Shine Germany and ProSiebenSat1’s production company Redseven Entertainment under the creative lead of Shine TV. 

Shine Germany’s CEO, Axel Kuehn, said: "I’m delighted that Fame and Fortune will be the first project for Shine Germany, and to be working with both my new group colleagues and Redseven Entertainment to realize the potential of this fantastic format on screen. It promises to be a truly wonderful program."

Chris Grant, ShineReveille International’s president, added: "Axel Kuhn bought one of the very first formats that we ever sold internationally years ago and has been producing incredible shows for us and with us ever since. I couldn’t think of anyone better than he and Holger to continue this tradition with Fame and Fortune, a fantastic format that is creating incredible buzz at the market!"

German Free TV Holding’s senior VP of entertainment, Michael Schmidt, commented: "We are excited to be on board early with this promising program idea and by combining the creative forces of Shine Group and Redseven Entertainment for this project, further deepening our strong and successful partnership of many years."
