German Consumer Products VP Named for NVCP

BERLIN/LONDON/NEW YORK, January 7: Andreas Niedergesäss  has been appointed to lead Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products’ (NVCP) team in Germany, responsible for the management and development of activities across all brands, including Nick, MTV, Viva and Comedy Central.

In the role of VP of consumer products, Niedergesäss  will be responsible for the development of client relationships with existing and potential license holders and the further development of retail activities. Based in Berlin and Dusseldorf, Niedergesäss  will report jointly to Jean-Philippe Randisi, the senior VP and managing director for NVCP for Europe, Near East and Africa, Canada and Latin America, based in London, and Oliver Schablitzki, the VP for Nick, MTV Networks Germany (MTVN), based in Berlin.

Niedergesäss most recently served as the senior sales manger of licensing and merchandising for SUPER RTL, where he oversaw the strategic development of sales activities across several key global brands, including Disney, Hasbro, HIT and CCI.

"We are incredibly fortunate to have secured a licensing executive of Andreas’ caliber to drive our business there. Our local NVCP team and partners have done a tremendous job in establishing our core properties such as Dora The Explorer and SpongeBob SquarePants and will work with Andreas on new growth opportunities and launching new licensing lines around MTVN’s portfolio of brands."
