Generate, Fox Ink Deal

LOS ANGELES: Generate, the multiplatform production outfit headed by former The WB chief Jordan Levin, has scored a development and production deal with Twentieth Century Fox Television (TCFTV).

Under the multiyear deal, Generate will develop scripted broadcast and cable series exclusively for TCFTV, which is also granted a first-look on any unscripted concepts from Generate. The production and management company, co-founded by Levin, is currently producing David Alan Grier’s Chocolate News for Comedy Central and BET’s first original scripted series, Somebodies.

"We are very excited to be partnering with Twentieth, a studio my partners and I have had the pleasure of working with in various capacities over the years," said Levin, who as CEO of The WB worked with TCFTV’s chairmen, Gary Newman and Dana Walden, on shows such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer. "Forging this increasingly rare type of deal is an important milestone for our growing television division."
