LONDON: At this year's MIPTV, FremantleMedia International plans to present international buyers with No Offence, a new police procedural series created by Paul Abbott (Shameless).

Set in Manchester, No Offence centers on a team of police officers attempting to enforce the law in a chaotic community. The program, which is set to premiere this year, stars Joanna Scanlon (The Thick of It), Elaine Cassidy (The Paradise) and Alexandra Roach (The Iron Lady). It is produced by AbbottVision for Channel 4 in the U.K.

Jens Richter, CEO of FremantleMedia International, noted: "No Offence is like no other cop show I've seen before. It's gritty, gripping and at times, outrageous. Paul Abbott has created yet another fantastic series and we can't wait to get it front of the buyers at MIPTV."

Abbott added: "No Offence takes the procedural genre on a completely different spin. It delivers precinct drama to the crime-addicted audience at a high metabolism. Being fearless and funny makes it a lot, lot more than your average cop show. And some."
