Fox Soccer Channel Joins Nielsen Ratings

LOS ANGELES, September 15:
Fox Soccer Channel, which reaches more than 33 million cable and satellite
subscribers in the U.S. and Caribbean, will become an official Nielsen-rated
network on October 1.

Fox Soccer Channel,
formerly known as Fox Sports World, has distribution agreements in place with
the top ten cable MSOs in the U.S. as well as DIRECTV, Dish Network, AT&T
U-Verse and Verizon FiOS. Its programming ranges from news to reality shows,
with live studio programs such as Fox Soccer Report and Fox Football Fone-In. The network features tournaments such as the
English FA Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Cup, and also recently began
airing exclusive English-language coverage of the CONCACAF Champions’ League
and began its slate of 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualifying matches from Europe and
Asia on September 6.

“Over the last five years
Fox Soccer Channel has shown tremendous growth, in terms of both viewer
engagement and advertiser interest,” said David Sternberg, the executive VP and
general manager of Fox Soccer Channel. “Entering the Nielsen family enables us
to validate our viewership reach, demonstrating to advertisers our ability to
deliver the extremely strong and dedicated audience of men 18 to 34 that they
want to reach as well as the broad-based audience attracted to soccer
programming.”
