FOX Shifts American Idol for Midseason

LOS ANGELES: As part of a revamp to its midseason schedule, FOX is shifting American Idol by a day, to air Wednesdays and Thursdays, while also picking up Christian Slater’s new comedy, Breaking In.

The midseason schedule will see House and Lie to Me airing Mondays in January, with the cop drama The Chicago Code taking over for Lie to Me in February. Glee still leads FOX’s Tuesday lineup, to be followed by Million Dollar Money Drop. Starting in February, Raising Hope and Mixed Signals take over from 9 p.m. The U.S. version of Endemol’s new game show, Million Dollar Money Drop will make another appearance on Thursdays in January, then to be replaced by Idol and Bones. Wednesdays feature Human Target for a few weeks, to then be taken over by Idol. Starting in April, Breaking In will join the Wednesday roster following Idol. Fridays host the return of Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares in January, as well as Fringe.
