Fox Reality Channel to Air Controversial British Reality Show

LOS ANGELES, October 2: This month, Fox Reality Channel will
premiere There’s Something About Miriam,
a controversial reality series that aired in the U.K. on Sky One in 2004.

The show launches with a special preview on October 31 at 1
a.m. EST/10 p.m. PST, before settling into its regular late-night slot on
November 4. Produced by Endemol UK’s Brighter Pictures, the show chronicled six
men who traveled to Ibiza, Spain, where they competed for the affections of a
21-year old Mexican model named Miriam. Her secret—that she was born as a
man—is not revealed to the contestants until the final episode.

"Fox Reality Channel is dedicated to bringing its
audience the most talked about, edgy reality shows from around the globe,"
said David Lyle, the president of Fox Reality Channel. "We are at the
forefront of airing programs that create and stir up dialogue."
