LOS ANGELES: FX Productions has shaken up its executive ranks in the Fox Networks Group global programming unit, expanding the responsibilities of Gina Balian.

Balian, the executive VP of series development for FX Networks and FX Productions (FXP), takes on added responsibility for the Fox Networks Group (FNG) Global Programming Initiative. As head of the FNG Global Programming Initiative, Balian will be looking to acquire and develop programs that will be launched simultaneously in the U.S. and across FNG’s Europe, Latin America and Asia channel groups. She continues to report to Eric Schrier and Nick Grad, presidents of original programming for FX Network and FX Productions.

Andie Green, the VP of scripted programming, and Amy Suh, director of development, will now report to Balian at FXP, continuing their current responsibilities in the global programming unit.

“Over the past year, we have been working on a strategic plan to advance and expand the FNG Global Programming Initiative,” said Schrier. “Gina has played a key role in the growth and success of FXP and she is the perfect choice to lead this group.”

Sharon Tal Yguado, a 13-year Fox veteran who most recently served as executive VP of global scripted programming for Fox Networks Group, has left the company. She joins Amazon Studios as head of event series, reporting to Roy Price.
