Former Hallmark Channel U.S. Chief Joins RHI

NEW YORK, July 6: David
Evans, who stepped down as the head of Crown Media Holdings, the parent company
of Hallmark Channel U.S., last month, is joining the Halmis’ RHI Entertainment
to spearhead the company’s new media and channel development.

Evans’ appointment is
effectively immediately. He said of his new position, “As the recognized leader
in producing exciting, innovative long-form programming, RHI Entertainment is
uniquely positioned to be at the forefront of new media content development and
distribution. I look forward to
being a part of this dynamic new chapter in RHI’s storied evolution.”

Robert Halmi, Jr., the
president and CEO of RHI, noted, “RHI is committed to becoming the leader in
new media development, production and distribution. With David’s impressive
track record and powerful vision we are confident we can achieve that goal.”
