Five Renews Suburban Shootout

LONDON, June 25: Five has commissioned Feelgood Fiction to
produce a second season of the award-winning series Suburban Shootout, centered on two competing gun-toting gangs of
vigilante housewives.

A co-commission with Paramount Comedy, Suburban Shootout garnered a Golden Nymph award in the category of
Outstanding International Producer for comedy at the Monte-Carlo Television
Festival earlier this month. Set in the seemingly idyllic British town of
Little Stempington, the series follows two competing gun-toting gangs of
vigilante housewives who are responsible for keeping the town free of crime.
One gang is led by Camilla Diamond, who is played by Anna Chancellor (Spooks, Four Weddings and a Funeral)
and the other by Barbara Du Prez, played by Felicity Montagu (I’m
Alan Partridge, Nighty Night
). The two
continue their work, one for the good of the town, and the other for the good
of themselves. The producer for the series is Greg Boardman, the executive
producer is Laurence Bowen and the director is Gordon Anderson.

Graham Smith, Five’s controller of comedy and entertainment,
said: "Suburban Shootout has been a
groundbreaking series for Five and I’m delighted that we’ve once again been
able to assemble such a stellar cast of British comedy acting talent.”

The 3×1-hour series will launch in the fall.
