Five Life Unveils New Daytime Lineup

LONDON, May 10: Five Life has unveiled a new daytime
programming lineup that will premiere this summer.

Five Life will start the mornings with the children’s strand
Milkshake! from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Then
the channel will air specially selected past episodes of the Australian soap
opera Home and Away, entitled Home
and Away—The Early Years
. At 5:30
p.m., the channel will also feature a repeat of the previous day’s Home
and Away
shown on Five. The morning schedule will also feature a repeat of
that day’s episode of The Wright Stuff, which launched seven years ago on Five. Hosted by opinionated and
straight-talking Matthew Wright, it features a mix of studio discussions and
phone-ins on all the hot topics of the day.

In the afternoon, there will be a double bill of talk shows
with Trisha starting at 12:30 p.m., followed by The Ellen Degeneres Show at 1:30 p.m. A themed movie week runs from 2:30-4.30
p.m., followed by an hour-long feature entertainment slot with well known Five
brands such as Build a New Life in the Country. A half-hour entertainment feature will air at 6
p.m., followed by a brand new episode of Home and Away.

Hannah Barnes, the director of programming at Five Life and
Five US, commented: “I am delighted to reinvigorate the daytime schedule on
Five Life. I am particularly thrilled to include brand extensions of Five’s
popular shows, such as The Wright Stuff
and Home and Away.”

Since its launch in October 2006, Five Life has attracted an
average audience share of 0.42, and has become one of the top 15 U.K.
non-terrestrial channels within peak time.
