Five Bags New FOX Cop Drama

LONDON, July 31: Five has
picked up the exclusive British terrestrial and digital television rights to K-Ville, a new cop drama from Twentieth Century Fox
Television Distribution that is set in post-Hurricane Katrina New Orleans.

The series stars Anthony
Anderson as Marlin Boule, a veteran of the specialist unit that targets the
most-wanted criminals. Two years after his partner deserted him during the
storm, he now bends the rules to collar the bad guys. His new partner, Trevor
Cobb (Cole Hauser), was a soldier in Afghanistan before joining the police and
has come to New Orleans seeking redemption.

From creator and executive
producer Jonathan Lisco (NYPD Blue,
The District), K-Ville is currently in production and will premiere on
FOX this September. It begins its U.K. broadcast early next year on Five’s
family of channels.

Vanessa Brookman, Five’s
controller of acquisitions, said of the series: “The combination of traditional
procedural crime drama set against the backdrop of post-Katrina New Orleans
makes K-Ville a fascinating and
engaging show.”
