Five Adds Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom to Milkshake Lineup

LONDON: Five has picked up the terrestrial broadcast rights for the animated series Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom from E1 Kids for its Milkshake preschool block.

The series heads to Milkshake in April. From Astley Baker Davis, the creators of Peppa Pig, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom was developed and commissioned in the U.K. by Nick Jr. The show follows a young fairy who is still learning how to fly and an elf who doesn’t have wings and doesn’t do magic.

Nick Wilson, the director of children’s programming at Five, said: "Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom is a great addition to Milkshake‘s unique roster of top British preschool programs. The animation style is charming, the stories engaging and fun and the voices as good as you would expect from such brilliant producers."

Muriel Thomas, the head of international sales and co-production at E1 Kids, commented: "We’re delighted to be welcoming Five as the terrestrial broadcast partner for Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom. We also congratulate our satellite partner Nick Jr. who has been integral to the growth of the brand since it launched on the channels in April 2009."
