Fininvest Increases Stake in Premiere

MILAN, November 25:
Fininvest, Silvio Berlusconi's family holding company, raised its investment in
the German pay-TV operator Premiere to 3.13 percent, up from 3 percent.

Fininvest started
investing in Premiere a year ago. Sources maintain the investment is not
strategic and the Fininvest stake will remain between 3 and 5 percent.

On news of the new
Fininvest stake, shares of Premiere were up 31.5 percent to 3.721 euros.
Premiere's stock price has been volatile in recent weeks, and analysts expect
News Corp., which already owns 25.01 percent of Premiere, could buy the
remaining shares.
