FID Offers Up New Music Series

LONDON, July 19: Fremantle International Distribution (FID)
has picked up the rights to distribute the music series Live From Abbey Road, featuring performances by The Killers, The Who,
Paul Simon and Diana Ross, among others, at the famed Abbey Road studio.

The 12×1-hour series is set for a November launch on Channel
4 in time for studio’s 75th anniversary. Each episode will focus on
one particular artist, culminating in their Abbey Road performance. “Live
from Abbey Road will undoubtedly provide a
compelling look at the music industry from the inside out,” said David
Ellender, the CEO of FremantleMedia Enterprises. “Through iconic figures from
the past, and up and coming stars, viewers will see the influence that Abbey Road
has had on so many careers and the way it has shaped our favorite songs. We are
proud to be bringing Live from Abbey Road to music lovers the world over and we are sure the series will make
broadcasting history by becoming the first truly international music show.”
