FIC Names New SVP of FOX Sports Europe & Africa

MADRID: FOX International Channels (FIC) has hired former Setanta Africa exec Kelly Butler as the senior VP of FOX Sports for Europe and Africa.

Butler previously served as the CEO of Setanta Africa, which was recently acquired by FIC. Prior to that she held such titles as head of programming at Setanta Sports, CEO of Setanta Sports Channel in North America and consultant for the North American Sports Network (NASN).

Earlier in her career Butler was the senior VP and general manager of programming at ESPN STAR Sports in Singapore, where she oversaw the content of several channels in Asia. Before that she was the head of sport at Star TV in Hong Kong and the international program manager at Prime Network in the U.S.
