FIC Buys Spanish Pay-TV Doc Channel

MADRID: FOX International Channels (FIC) has struck a deal to acquire Viajar, a Spanish documentary pay-TV channel previously owned by Prisa TV.

Viajar, dedicated to travel and travellers, will retain its positioning, style, formats and programming. The service continues to focus on series and documentaries that explore various destinations on all continents, covering wilderness and nature, adventure trips, hotels and more. The acquisition marks FIC’s tenth channel in Spain, alongside FOX, FOX HD, Fox Crime, National Geographic Channel, National Geographic Channel HD, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Wild HD and Baby TV.
