FIC Appoints Country Manager for Denmark

OSLO: Fox International Channels (FIC) has promoted Theis Heitmann to country manager for Denmark, with oversight for daily operations and responsibility for further development of the Danish activities.

Heitmann continues to be based in Copenhagen. He assumes new responsibilities as the main touch point in this territory and will now report to Åse Ytreland, the managing director of Fox International Channels for Nordic and Baltic regions. Heitmann has been with FIC since March 2009 as the commercial director for the Nordic region. His past credits include working with Mediacom and Discovery Networks.

Ytreland said of the appointment: “FIC strongly believes in local presence in key markets, serviced by skilled personnel who understands the market and are able to provide excellent service to our local partners. Mr. Heitmann’s experience and his excellent work for us so far ensures me that we have the best person for the job. He will continue our efforts to grow our business Denmark, and further establish FIC as a strong local player in the Danish media market.”
