ESPN & Quibi Align for Daily Sports Programming

ESPN has reached an agreement with Quibi to be the exclusive U.S. multi-sport content provider for the mobile-first platform’s Daily Essentials programming.

Daily Essentials will feature curated news and information, with daily episodes and breaking news covering the biggest stories in sports. The ESPN mobile-only sports show is slated to be available when Quibi launches in April 2020.

Connor Schell, executive VP of content at ESPN, said: “Wherever fans are having a conversation around sports, ESPN wants to be there. We’re looking forward to taking the best of what we do and delivering it in a way that resonates with Quibi subscribers looking to be informed, entertained and engaged around the sports news of the day.”
