eOne will handle the worldwide television distribution of the series in all media, including television, DVD/Blu-ray, VOD and digital exploitation. The Canadian broadcaster CTV ordered 12 episodes in addition to the pilot shot this summer. eOne and the creative team will pitch the series to U.S. broadcasters and cable networks in Los Angeles next week.

The series stars Erica Durance (Smallville), Michael Shanks (Stargate Atlantis), Huse Madhavji (Combat Hospital, Star Daily), Julia Taylor-Ross (Rookie Blue) and Kristopher Turner (Rookie Blue, The Listener). It is from producers Ilana Frank and David Wellington (The Eleventh Hour, Of Murder and Memory, Rookie Blue). In Saving Hope, when the chief of surgery (Shanks) at Toronto’s Hope-Zion Hospital ends up in a coma, he leaves the hospital in chaos as a fellow surgeon races to save his life.
