MERCHANDISE: TF1 is releasing several DVD titles this year, and will be following those up with a publishing program and other selective product categories.

STRATEGY FOR ROLLOUT: Eliot Kid premiered on TF1 and BBC in 2008. The show, says Genevieve Dexter, partner and commercial director at CAKE, "went straight to the top as the number one rated animated children’s series on both channels based purely on its TV exposure with no ancillary products on the market. Both channels have already expressed an interest in commissioning further episodes."

Dexter adds that Eliot Kid "is an evergreen property with strong narrative drive that will develop a merchandising program through traditional product categories based on the ratings success and demand from the viewers. Eliot’s fantasy world does, however, see him change into a myriad of fantasy roles, and so we have the potential to develop a wider range of products in time."
