Dr. Drew Sets Up Production Outfit

LOS ANGELES: Dr. Drew Pinsky, best known for VH1’s Celebrity Rehab franchise and his role hosting the syndicated radio show Loveline, has formed Dr. Drew Productions, a Los Angeles-based company that will focus on reality TV projects featuring himself as well as other talent.

Pinsky’s long-time manager Howard Lapides will serve as the managing partner at Dr. Drew Productions. The first project to come from the new company is the pilot Estranged with Dr. Drew, which features couples deciding if they want to reunite or separate. The pilot is being produced in association with Picture This Television.

Pinsky is currently in development with Telepictures targeting a fall 2011 premiere. Lapides has been named co-executive producer on this show.
