Dori Revenues Up 32 Percent

TEL AVIV, August 21: First-half revenues at Dori Media Group
rose 32 percent to $12.7 million, with a net profit of $1.86 million, up from
last year’s $1.72 million.

Announcing the results, president and CEO Nadav Palti noted:
“Once again, we have delivered a strong set of results that further validates
our strategy of international expansion and playing a leading role in the
promotion of the telenovela genre worldwide. We continue to capitalize on the
popularity of telenovelas by developing multiple sources of income within this
niche market. We did this very successfully during the first half of 2007 and we remain very comfortable with the current
market expectations. We also recently strengthened our position in the industry
by signing a number of landmark deals that will provide DMG with new opportunities
for future growth.”

The company attributed the gains to strong growth in its
ancillary businesses, with revenue from merchandise, publishing and events
based on novelas such as Rebelde Way and
the Mexican version Rebelde almost
doubling from $2.6 million to $5 million. Revenues from novela broadcasting and
format sales increased by 5 percent to US$5.27 million. Total broadcasting
income from DMG’s television channels was $2.15 million in H1 2007.
Broadcasting and format rights sales represent 41 revenues of total revenues in
the period.

International business accounted for 73 percent of the
company’s revenues, up from 68 percent last year. Of international revenues, 49
percent were generated in Central and South America, followed by 37 percent in
Europe.
